Hey, i bought a new flash Canon Speedlight 430EX, and thats my first try to make a drop shot...i'd love to hear some tips how to make it better

- Background should be clean and have 1 base color in order not to distract
- The droplet could be sharper
- The reflection of the droplet ought to be entirely inside the composition
- Could possibly use a little more space on right side for the wave on the water surface
- The yellow looks maybe a bit harsh (flash result)?
I will let the real droplet experts tell more on the light usage and flash vs no flash etcetera...Good to see you experiment.

- you should use a higher angle - this will remove the bg witch is way to busy and cast reflections on the surface.
- Reduce the light - better reflections, slow shutter speed for a nice effect
- compose better - make sure everythig fits the frame and nothing is cut of
- better focous - use something in the center of the surface to lock focous and then turn to MF.
